Is Barack Obama “a PC?”

To understand the question, you probably have to remember the current ad campaign by Microsoft is "I'm a PC." And you also also have to know that President Barack Obama called Intel President and CEO Paul Otellini upon hearing of Intel's $7 billion investment in U.S.-based manufacturing facilities, and telling Otellini that "he sees the Intel logo every morning when he opens his laptop."While Microsoft obviously can't use our President's image in an "I'm a PC" ad (there are laws against that, you know?), it seems that Obama is using a Wintel PC in his day-to-day governing of the U.S.
OK, there are (now) plenty of Apple computers that use Intel CPUs now, so why do I think that he's using a Windows box? Well, because Apple computers don't boot with a BIOS that wants to flash up information about their CPU.
It also means he's not using an AMD-based Windows PC, assuming he's serious.
While obviously not the most important information and to be ascertained about our new President, it should bring a chuckle to many. In reality, though, it's probably the government that is mandating use of a Wintel PC by Obama (like him having to use a Sectera Edge for his mobile government-related email).
After all, according to Newsweek and Michelle Obama, the President and his daughters were using MacBooks to keep in touch.
To help bridge the physical distance between father and daughters, Michelle recently bought two MacBook laptops, one for Barack and one for the kids, so they could have video chats over the Internet.Obama's choice of MP3 players hasn't been influenced in any way: he uses an iPod, contrary to initial rumors.
